An Evening Cabaret - A Benefit for the Blafield Children's Chorus

On Wednesday, August 3rd, Berkshire Lyric will present An Evening Cabaret, a benefit concert for the Blafield Children’s Chorus, their tuition free music program for children ages 6 through 13.  The performance will take place at The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renee Avenue, Pittsfield at 7:30 p.m.


The concert will be an evening of Broadway and Jazz, showcasing some of the finest young talent in the Berkshires in a wonderfully intimate setting.  The singers will be accompanied by a jazz ensemble featuring Joe Rose, Terry Hall and Chris St. Clair.


Vocal selections include music by Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rodgers, Jason Robert Brown, Burt Bacharach, Stephen Schwarz and other pieces from the American Songbook. 


The Blafield Children’s Chorus, named in honor of founding director Robert Blafield, continues a tradition of joyous music making, presenting five high quality programs throughout Berkshire County each season.  It is the only tuition free, professionally led children’s choir in the county.
