Karl Jenkins Requiem

Berkshire Lyric presents the engaging and dramatic 21st century “Requiem” by contemporary British composer Karl Jenkins.

The piece incorporates the traditional Latin movements juxtaposed with Japanese “haiku” poems. The piece will be presented with the original full orchestration of strings, harp, flute, french horn and percussion and feature the Berkshire Lyric Chorus and the Blafield Children’s Chorus.

The program will be rounded off with shorter English sacred masterpieces by Tallis, Purcell and Hoist.
